  • 6.03.10 Made In America

Getting ready for Made in America hosted by the TRUST Gallery on 3rd and Arch in collaboration with Phrequency and McJawn. Made In America is a show displaying works of over 40 artists. The opening is tomorrow, June 4th, from 6-10pm.

  • 5.12.10 Design on a Dime/ Housing Works Benefit


As promised here is a walk through of the room design by Derek Warburton of Derek Loves Shopping for the Design on a Dime/ Housing Works Benefit Show,  held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York May 6-8. The blue piece shown was the donated piece for the show designed specifically for Derek’s room.

  • 5.07.10  Design on a Dime

Excited to have had the opportunity to work with Derek Warburton of Derek Love’s Shopping to create a piece to go in the room he created for Design on a Dime, in collaboration with Housing Works, an organization committed to ending the crisis of AIDS and homelessness. The money from this event will go towards a new housing development project in New York consisting of 12 permanent units of supportive housing for single, formerly homeless adults living with HIV/AIDS.   • 4.01.10 First Friday Must See(s)

This First Friday at Part Time Studios you will be in for a definite treat. Artist Adam Smith premiers new works in his solo show titled Bleed Blue. The reception will be from 6-10 pm. 10 % of sales from the Bleed Blue show will be donated to the Haiti relief fund.

Artist and writer J.L. Schnabel will also be showing new works  Friday April 2nd at Topstitch Boutique. The show titled She Thinks She Can Warn the Stars is based on “the poems of Anne Sexton, more specifically, ‘The Black Art’ as well as the bloody adventures of St. Joan of Arc, each portrait focuses on the idea of veiled isolation and inner dislocation.” Reception from 6-10pm.

  • 4.01.10  New work for Cancer Benefit show at Digital Ferret

Digital Ferret is hosting a Cancer Benefit Art Show/ C.D. release party at their headquarters located on 732 south 4th street this Saturday, April 3rd from 6-10 pm. Donations from the audience and purchasing art work will go to the non-profit organization “Foundation for Cancer Research and Wellness”. This new piece The Gardener’s Cord will be in the show along with a long list of some fantastic artists and musicians.

Big thanks to J.L. Schnabel of  Blood Milk Jewelry for posting the Altar show on her website as well as a previous post on the Through Wilderness series. J.L. Schnabel is a talented writer, jewelry maker, and painter  and is having a First Friday show at Topstitch Boutique on April 2nd. Congratulations to all the people who participated in the Windows Throughout Old City Exhibition. I was able to work with, and meet some very talented artists and business owners. The Vivant Art Collection window recieved 2nd place in Professional Design.   • 10.07.09  Windows Throughout Old City

The Old City Business Collective and Design Philadelphia have teamed up to create “Windows Throughout Old City”. This is a window design exhibit, and contest, to promote Philadelphia artists and businesses. Each artist was paired with a business and had the opportunity of designing their window display. October 7th -13th there will be tours of the installations and opportunities for the public to vote on their favorite window. I worked with Vivant Art Collection on 60 N. 2nd street (window pictured above).

SCAD 30th Year

Finished commissioned piece for the the 30th anniversary of the Savannah College of Art and Design. It will be part of an exhibition that will consist of thirty paintings on a 30 x 30 inch panel by thirty SCAD students and Alumni.
