“The exhibitions department presents “A Fine Line,” an exhibition by alumni Gyun Hur (SCAD Atlanta, M.F.A., sculpture, 2009) and Hilary White (SCAD Savannah, B.F.A., painting, 2007). “A Fine Line” showcases each artist’s unique explorations of Eastern and Western culture and aesthetics. While employing varying media, such as sculpture, painting, photography and installation, the two share similar formal considerations, such as vibrant saturated palettes, that serve to complement their interpretations of these themes.”

Thanks to 1xRun for offering me the opportunity to do a set of limited edition time released giclees of Beneath Our Bear Skins and thanks to those who have purchased the prints. It was honor to work with them and be a part of what they are doing to promote artists and their work.

A few updates and announcements here. The beginning of October was a busy month with shows overlapping at The Green Line Cafe (Dwelling) and Topstitch Boutique (Live Free). Big thanks to everyone who took the time to come by to either of these shows and talk for a bit! The show at Green Line Cafe will be coming down at the end of this month, while the Topstich show will remain up for the duration of November. In addition to the Live Free opening was the Windows In Old City exhibition. Local designers/artists create a window for a business. I worked with Topstitch and tied it into the theme of the exhibition.
At Part Time Studios we had our group show this past first Friday Part Time All the Time and participated in POST (Philadelphia Open Studio Tours).
Recently been working with musical wonder Grimace Federation and Sarah Anderson (Two Percent To Glory) to help with the layout and design of the CD cover for their new album On Velvet. CD release party coming up October 29th at Johnny Brenda’s (Philadelphia).
So to wrap it all up October will end with Monster Show at Masthead Print Studio displaying the twisted creations from Philadelphia screen printers. Opening reception this Saturday 10. 23.10. Be sure to take a gander.
